This 2 BHK apartment is in Thamel, Kathmandu. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, full kitchen & living/dining area. Close to nightlife, restaurants, pubs/bars, shopping & entertainment. This stunning space inside a beautiful Neo Classical/Newar fusion building has ample light and space with all modern comforts. Good value for money, ideal for couples, friends, business travelers, and families.
The space
Thamel is the main tourist hub of Kathmandu. The streets are teeming with life. But it can also be a bit noisy. That's why our apartment has double windows for soundproofing. (100% soundproofing is not possible).
Bedrooms
The air-conditioned bedrooms have queen size double bed, large comfortable mattress, wardrobe, study table/chair, compressed wood parquet flooring and bathroom with running hot/cold water, western style WC, hand-held toilet spray. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom while the second bedroom has an adjoining bathroom.

The kitchen has all the amenities you would require to prepare any meal.

The open Living / Dining area (air-conditioned) has a large bank of windows on the west side which lets in a ton of light and plenty of afternoon sunshine.
The dining table with a hanging dome light provides a great atmosphere to chitchat with family or guests over dinner and wine.
You can also unwind on the comfortable sofa and watch a great movie or catch the latest news on the TV that has a satellite connection with over 70 channels including most of the popular news, entertainment and sports programming.

We have invested in Solar Panels and large Batteries as back up to run most things within the apartment. The back up power enables lights in Living/Dining Area, Kitchen, Bedrooms and Bathrooms. It also powers the Wi-Fi, TV, Satellite TV, Fridge and almost all power sockets.

Subu & Mala appartment is perfectly situated in Thamel in a very good and clean building. Subu has been highly reactive and a great host.

The location is just perfect. In the midst of Thamel, good eating places around, Mala & Subu were very approachable. The flat is decorated tastefully.

We had a wonderful time in Nepal. Subu & Mala's apartments are in a great location in Thamel near restaurants, shopping, ATMs, and the taxi stand. The apartments are clean and comfortable with many amenities. Having bottled water available in the apartment was very convenient. Subu and Mala are wonderful hosts. They provided very quick responses to any questions or concerns before and during the stay. They were very flexible with our schedule allowing us to leave luggage during our transitions times between reservations. Their manual is very thorough with instructions on everything in the apartment and the local area. They even list things that may be an issue with some people, like street noise and stairs, so you know what to expect. We would stay with them again if we traveled back to the area.
The best Airbnb apartment we have ever stayed in.In terms of comfort,nothing has been missed out.Truely sound proof,inspite of the busy street just below.All amenities in the kitchen to make a good breakfast.Other meals not necessary to make,due great location of the (Website hidden by Airbnb) ,all walking distance,all within 10 to 15minutes walk.Thamel is a great location.For good Tibetian food,not to miss Yangling and Yak (Website hidden by Airbnb) wife and I would like to thank Mala,for this lovely and memorable stay.
Subu and Mala's second floor soundproof apartment is a great find. Nestled between the busy streets of thamel, its a modern comfortable and convenient place to stay. The open kitchen and living room space is perfect especially if traveling with children. Eating and shopping options are all close by and the major sightseeing spots are walking distance. I have a great stay. P.S. I was traveling with my husband, 8 month old baby and a friend.
