The space
Thamel is the main tourist hub of Kathmandu, Nepal. The streets are teeming with life. And everything is literally within a minute of this apartment.
This amazing apartment is on the third floor of a beautiful Neo Classical / Newari fusion building. The two bedrooms have two classic bay windows and so that you can observe life as it happens in Thamel without the dust and noise!
Bedrooms
The air-conditioned bedrooms have queen size double bed, large comfortable mattress, wardrobe, study table/chair, real wood parquet flooring and bathroom with running hot/cold water, western style WC, hand-held toilet spray. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom while the second bedroom has an adjoining bathroom.

The kitchen has all the amenities you would require to prepare any meal.

The open Living / Dining area (air-conditioned) has a large bank of windows on the west side which lets in a ton of light and plenty of afternoon sunshine.
The real wood dining table with a hanging dome lights provides a great atmosphere to chitchat with family or guests over dinner and wine.
You can also unwind on the comfortable sofa and watch a great movie or catch the latest news on the TV that has a satellite connection with over 70 channels including most of the popular news, entertainment and sports programming.

We have invested in Solar Panels and large Batteries as back up to run most things within the apartment. The back up power enables lights in Living/Dining Area, Kitchen, Bedrooms and Bathrooms. It also powers the Wi-Fi, TV, Satellite TV, Fridge and almost all power sockets.

Subu and Mala's place is a gem in Kathmandu. It is centrally located in Thamel with any food you want within walking distance. There was a steady power supply and air conditioners worked whenever we needed them. Subu and Mala were tremendously responsive and bent over backwards to help make our stay a good one. Highly recommended!

it is as the pictures shown. it was clean and so spacious. modern facilities and lovely hospitality. pretty easy to locate, super convenient with restaurants and shops just down the stairs. comfy beds and sofa, warm blanket and clean sheets. basic kitchen amenities so this is exactly an apartment you would have for yourself.
The Neo Modern apartment in Thamel is ideally located for access to Thamel restaurants and shops. The apartment is also an easy walk from Durbar Marg and central Kathmandu. Taxis are readily available and can take you to anywhere else you might want to go. The apartment is clean and has good cooking facilities, a washing machine, and hot water that is either solar heated or gas heated. Beds are comfortable, plus there is a tv and a sound system that will connect to music from your phone or computer. The free wifi works great too. I confess eating many breakfasts and a few dinners at the Mitra Cafe next to the apartment building entrance. Subu and Mala are great hosts and always respond quickly if you have questions. I hope you enjoy your stay as much as I did!
